Mr. Duffy - 7th Grade World History

I am your student's first true history teacher and welcome to my information page. I will include links to my Google Classrooms and provide a link to my syllabus/classroom expectations.
I grew up in Fresno and attended Bullard High School. I attended Fresno City College and earned an AA before transferring on a track scholarship to Sacramento State University. During my time in Sacramento I graduated with a 3.5 GPA, won two D1 conference team titles, was a conference First Team Academic member and was elected to a Team Capitan as Junior and Senior. After graduating with a Bachelors in History (Pre-Credential) in 2012 I came back and attended Fresno State and graduated with a CA teaching credential in 2014. I began teach a World History class at El Capitan Middle School in August of 2014 and have been teaching here for 5 years now.
Athletics helped me focus on school and in turn I have been involved in multiple sports here at El Cap. I am currently the head coach of El Cap Track and Field during the spring plus coach the throwing events. During the summer and fall I also serve as one of the head football coaches (as well as defensive coordinator) and coached wrestling here at El Cap my first 3 years. Aside from school seasons, I coach throwing events and athletic conditioning with a local club track team.
I check my email regularly and please email me with any questions about your student's academics, athletics or concerns.
