Chavez Science (Period 4)
Course Description
Seventh grade science is an integrated study of systems. Students will study the following: Cell Biology, Earth Science, Sexual Health, Physical Properties of Life Science and the Structure and Function of Living Things (plants, animals, humans). Students will learn best if they are actively engaged and with activities closely linked to understanding important life science concepts. Students will spend approximately 40% of their time on hands-on activities. Science activities are based on the California Science Framework and will utilize the skills and techniques outlined in the investigation and Next Generation Science Standards
